RE/MAX of New York, Inc. reports that RE/MAX Realty Group in Rochester ranks second on the list of the Top 100 Businesses in Rochester. For the past 27 years, the Rochester Business Alliance and KPMG LLP, have honored the region's fastest-growing privately held businesses based upon percentage of revenue growth. RE/MAX Realty Group which sold $450 million in real estate grew significantly in both 2012 and 2013 as a result of the merger of RE/MAX First and RE/MAX Realty Group. Thomas Schnorr merged his firm, RE/MAX First with RE/MAX Realty Group, led by Michael Haymes and Jeffrey Hoffman. The resulting revenue growth has been impressive. Schnorr now leads the firm as president and managing partner. RE/MAX Realty Group ranks as the No. 1 company in the RE/MAX of New York region and has one of the top 10 U.S. offices in the RE/MAX International network. There are 155 agents, with 120 working out of the Pittsford office and 35 working from the company's Greece office. RE/MAX Realty Group is looking to add 15 more experienced agents in 2014. "We congratulate Tom, Michael and Jeff and all of the agents and staff at RE/MAX Realty Group for achieving the No. 2 position on the Rochester Business Alliance's 2013 Top 100 list. The Rochester Region is well served by all of the RE/MAX Realty Group agents who have worked hard to generate business and the outstanding record of sales that led to this recognition. As the No. 1 RE/MAX company in the state, RE/MAX Realty Group is an example of a business that is proactive in the way it serves consumers and one that possesses the potential for additional growth," said Henry Weber, president and regional director, RE/MAX of New York, Inc. "Our agents are the backbone of our company. We emphasize continuous training and provide the best technology to help our agents serve the needs of every buyer and seller" said Schnorr, "We seek only the most qualified, entrepreneurial agents, to take advantage of the strong Rochester market and the improved economy. This means investing in our agents with support that ranges from professional marketing to social media to ongoing training and coaching." "Jeffrey Hoffman, Michael Haymes and I started out in real estate together in the early 80s. The time was right for us to join together again pooling the knowledge and expertise we have accumulated while working in this highly competitive industry. Ranking so highly among the many successful businesses in the Rochester Top 100 and ranking as the No. 1 RE/MAX company in New York State are achievements for which we are exceedingly proud," added Schnorr.
