Modern Spaces hosts "Celebrate LIC" to celebrate diversity and charm

The Long Island City brokerage, Modern Spaces, invited the New York community to celebrate the up and coming diversity and charm of the LIC neighborhood. Equipped with "I Heart LIC" sunglasses; brokers, politicians and community members of all ages came out to the Clock Tower, located on 29-27th Ave., to recognize the growth and culture of the area while DJ Cerok's soundtrack played in the background. Close to 400 guests including councilman Jimmy Van Bramer filled the spacious tower to celebrate the reasons why so many people love LIC. Eric Benaim, CEO of Modern Spaces and Long Island City resident, spoke about the rapid growth of the neighborhood before handing the microphone to the councilman. "Eric Benaim is single-handedly responsible for transforming Long Island City, or should I say LIC," the councilman said, speaking of Benaim and Modern Space's dedication to the area. Guests mingled while enjoying the interactive art exhibition presented by No Longer Empty. The curated art encouraged guests to tap into their senses while viewing the exclusive exhibit "How Much Do I Owe You," a unique display that challenged viewers to examine the conversation of currency, value and exchange. "Long Island City is quickly becoming a New York City hub for art and culture," said Eric Benaim, CEO of Modern Spaces. "No Longer Empty's interactive exhibit that causes viewers to think outside the box is the perfect backdrop to celebrate a neighborhood fastened in creative spirit." From parks and waterfront views to the museums, restaurants, shopping and greengrocers, the neighborhood has evolved to become a frontrunner in flair and originality.
