Zimmet Law Group signs 5,476 s/f lease at GFP Real Estate’s 515 Madison Ave.

Manhattan, NY GFP Real Estate said that Zimmet Law Group P.C. has signed a new lease for 5,476 s/f of office space at 515 Madison Ave. in the Plaza District.

Zimmet Law Group will occupy Suite 603 on the sixth floor of the building under a new 10-year lease, relocating its local office from 477 Madison Ave. The firm is expected to take occupancy following completion of its new space later this year.

Martin McGrath and Kephra Stone of GFP Real Estate represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate, in the transaction. Elliot Zelinger of Savitt Partners represented Zimmet Law Group.

“Zimmet Law Group’s decision to make a long-term commitment to 515 Madison Ave. speaks to the continued appeal of the building and the strength of the Plaza District,” said Martin McGrath of GFP Real Estate. “Professional services firms continue to prioritize high-quality, well-located office space, and we’re pleased to welcome Zimmet Law Group to the building.”

Zimmet Law Group is a full-service New York City law firm providing legal services to individuals and corporate clients. The firm’s practice areas include matrimonial and family law, wills, trusts and estates, real estate, commercial litigation, business law and landlord-tenant matters.

Built in 1932 and known as the DuMont Bldg., 515 Madison is a 42-story, 370,000 s/f class A building designed by John Carpenter. One of the building’s most distinctive features is a broadcasting antenna that traces back to the building’s role in the first television broadcasts of Allen DuMont’s experimental television station W2XWV in 1938. This building’s restoration of its renovated entrance and lobby in 2009 kept its architectural elements intact yet modernized for today’s tenants.

Located just south of Central Park, 515 Madison provides access to a multitude of dining options and landmarks like the N.Y.C. Center for Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall and Rockefeller Center, which are all nearby. The E and M trains are located in the building and the 6 train is a block away, providing transportation options.
