McGrath of GFP Real Estate signs Cohen Fashion Optical to five-year lease extension at 767 Lexington Ave.

Manhattan, NY According to GFP Real Estate, LLC, Cohen Fashion Optical, an optical retailer headquartered in New York City featuring fashion products such as eyeglasses, frames and sunglasses, lenses, contact lenses and accessories, signed a five-year lease extension for its 1,000 s/f retail location at 767 Lexington Ave.

Martin McGrath of GFP Real Estate represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate, in the transaction; Susan Goldberg of Cohen Fashion Optical represented the tenant. Cohen first moved into the space more than 45 years ago.

767 Lexington Aven. is a six-story low-rise building located in Lenox Hill. Constructed from brick and terrazzo in 1936 and designed by the architect S.F. Oppenheimer, the building offers 17,000 s/f of commercial office and retail space. Located between E 60th and E 61st St., this building stands in position next door to Bloomingdale's, as well as numerous coffee shops, restaurants and day-to-day amenities. Transportation includes 4, 5, 6, N, R and W subway lines.
