What was the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in the past 12 months, and why?
I’m proud to have played a role in the Inspiration Wharf redevelopment and clean-up project in Port Washington, unanimously approved by the North Hempstead Town Board last month. The project will transform a contaminated former dumping site into a vibrant destination with restaurants, retail, housing, and public waterfront access. Despite concerns in the community that it would become a private enclave, it instead restores access to Manhasset Bay while turning a long-blighted property into a lasting community asset.
What advice would you give to the next generation of women entering commercial real estate?
Commercial real estate has long been a male-dominated industry, but that is changing as more talented, ambitious women enter the field. Their diverse perspectives often uncover opportunities and create value that might otherwise be overlooked. My advice is simple: trust your instincts and don’t feel pressured to fit the traditional mold. Find a mentor who will challenge and support you, embrace your unique perspective, and let it become your competitive advantage. Above all, remember that success is built through hard work, persistence, and patience — every great career takes time to grow.
