Purchase, NY March of Dimes NY/NJ Market honored Todd Rechler, founding partner, chief construction & development officer, RXR, with the March of Dimes Real Estate Award at the 2024 Westchester/Fairfield Real Estate Awards Breakfast held at Brae Burn Country Club.

Rechler leads the company’s construction and development efforts across its vast portfolio. With decades of industry expertise, Rechler has been instrumental in advancing RXR’s mission of, “Doing Good and Doing Well means Doing Better” by creating vibrant and sustainable developments throughout the New York metropolitan region and across the country.

“It’s truly an honor to receive this year’s March of Dimes Real Estate Award,” said Rechler. “March of Dimes leads incredibly important work for some of the most at-risk members of our community through their research, fundraising, and advocacy. At RXR, our operational ethos is “Doing Good and Doing Well means Doing Better, and this recognition by the March of Dimes only reinforces our company’s mission to build strong, vibrant, and successful communities. I want to thank everyone at March of Dimes for their recognition and we are looking forward to continuing our work as stewards of the White Plains and Westchester communities.”

The 37th annual breakfast celebrated real estate industry innovation, highlighting three exemplary RXR projects in Westchester – AVE Hamilton Green in White Plains and One, Two Clinton Park in New Rochelle and Atlantic Station in Stamford.

Situated on the site of the former White Plains mall, AVE Hamilton Green is a $380 million mall-to-housing conversion project that brings a state-of-the-art, mixed-use residential development to downtown White Plains. Recently celebrating the projects topping out, AVE Hamilton Green will bring elevated apartment living to White Plains, with a variety of floor plans ranging from studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom to unique bi-level loft and penthouse layouts, including fully furnished apartments with flexible lease options for stays of 30 days or longer, coupled with AVE’s award-winning service and community amenities. AVE Hamilton Green is slated for a phased completion in 2024 and 2025. It features two residential buildings: 25 Cottage, a 12-story, 170-unit building and 5 Cottage, a 26-story, 307-unit tower.

Located in downtown New Rochelle, One and Two Clinton Park are at the center of RXR’s master development plan for New Rochelle. Two Clinton Park, opened in June 2024, offers an elevated residential experience with its 390 designed apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedroom penthouses. The tower has nearly 24,000 s/f of amenities and over 7,500 s/f of retail space. Located next to its sister tower, One Clinton Park, which opened in 2022 and features 352 units, RXR shows its commitment to luxury living without compromise. Together, the properties offer approximately 50,000 s/f of amenity and outdoor space across the shared complex.

Louis Cappelli, founder and managing member of The Cappelli Organization and chairman and CEO of LRC Construction and Fuller Development Company, presented the real estate award to Rechler. “It is truly an honor and a privilege to have presented the prestigious March of Dimes Real Estate Award for 2024 to RXR and specifically to my partner and friend, Todd Rechler, a founding partner and the chief construction & development officer of RXR,” said Cappelli. “I have had the privilege of knowing and working with RXR and specifically with Todd for more than 25 years. RXR’s accomplishments and contributions to the communities in which it develops and operates are far too numerous to mention but suffice it to say that the impact that RXR has had in each one of those communities is enormous and very impactful. There is no company or individual more deserving of the 2024 March of Dimes Real Estate award than RXR and Todd Rechler.”

The Westchester/Fairfield March of Dimes Real Estate Awards Breakfast was hosted by News 12 Network’s Emmy Award-winning anchor/host/reporter Tara Rosenblum and co-chaired by Patricia Valenti, executive managing director for Newmark and Don Bucci, managing director for JLL. “It is my honor and privilege to serve as co-chair of the March of Dimes Westchester/Fairfield Real Estate Awards Breakfast and that I have the opportunity to support the important mission of ensuring babies have the best possible start,” said Valenti. “I’m also thrilled to have acknowledged the outstanding and innovative endeavors of Todd Rechler and RXR for how they’ve developed the Westchester landscape to new heights, enhancing the communities they’ve helped build.”

The event had nearly 500 attendees and hosted dozens of sponsors and supporters. The event surpassed its $1 million goal with top sponsors including The Cappelli Organization, RXR Realty, All County Glass and Metal, Capital Industries Corp., C&B Plumbing & Heating, Inc. and Highlite Electric Services.
