Manhattan Skyline Management Corp. brings luxury hatmaker Ramelow to 107 Sullivan St.

New York, NY According to Manhattan Skyline Management Corp., one of New York's leading real estate organizations, luxury hatmaker Ryan Ramelow will open its first retail location in Manhattan at 107 Sullivan St. between Prince and Spring St.'s in SoHo.

Ramelow opened his first hat making studio at 648 Broadway in 2018. From there, he creates custom premium-quality pieces with bold designs that inspire confidence, community, and unedited expression. Ramelow’s new SoHo store will occupy 946 s/f across the ground floor and basement levels of the building. The shop features 10 feet of store frontage on Sullivan St. Ramelow plans to open for business later this summer.

“We’re so pleased to welcome Ryan Ramelow to our roster of retail tenants in Downtown Manhattan and support the brand’s continued growth in New York City,” said Joshua Roth, senior vice president of Retail at Manhattan Skyline Management Corp. “Ryan is a true craftsman with an eye for superb quality, and we know his stylish offerings and personal service will appeal to SoHo’s discerning shoppers.”

With no formal training or fashion design background, Ramelow discovered a passion for making hats in 2018 and spent months traveling in Mexico to research the process. His approach is more analytical than traditional creatives, and he considers it just as much a science as it is an art. Recent collections include hats inspired by Zac Brown Band as well as The Awry Collection, the brand’s first line of 100% sustainable hats made locally in the northeastern United States.

“I’ve always loved making things and love interacting with people; it’s been very rewarding for me to make cool pieces for people that inspire both confidence and self-expression,” said Ramelow. “I grew up at the beach, I’m a desert child at heart, but New York City will always be my home, and I try to express the concept in my work. We are very excited and grateful to reach new people with our first ground floor retail store in SoHo.”

Ramelow’s new outpost, formerly occupied by Spring Dry Cleaner, is located at the base of one of the buildings comprising Manhattan Skyline’s 10-building Sullivan Mews apartments. The Mews is modernized to provide classic residential living environments in studio, one and two bedroom layouts. A total of 155 residences in Sullivan Mews attract Manhattan’s young artists and professionals.

Neighboring tenants including Ariana Bohling, The Dutch, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Global Table, Alidoro, Anonymous, JDR and Company, Dominique Ansel Bakery, Joe & The Juice, Blue Ribbon Brasserie, Sullivan Street Bakery, Juice Press and La Colombe.

Roth represented Manhattan Skyline in the long term lease transaction.
