Klau, Harris, Shapiro and Weil of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represent Equity Office in 15,931 s/f lease to ContextMedia:Health

Manhattan, NY Commercial real estate firm Equity Office has welcomed its newest tenant, ContextMedia:Health, to 114 West 41st St.

ContextMedia:Health signed a lease to occupy 15,931 s/f on the 10th floor of the 22-story tower.

Equity Office revamped the building last year to include 12-foot-plus ceilings, exposed brick and open pantries. Improvements also include a dual-entrance lobby with 40th and 41st St. access and an exclusive tenant amenity center with media lounge, billiards room and café.

“Our newly renovated building’s location in Midtown is proximal to the city’s hippest shopping, restaurants, and cultural landmarks, including Bryant Park. As a result, our building is attracting cutting-edge, fast-growing companies like ContextMedia:Health,” said Zachary Freeman, vice president of leasing for Equity Office.

Equity Office leasing manager Scott Silverstein said, “We are proud to welcome ContextMedia:Health to 114 West 41st St. and are confident that the leased commercial space will suit their needs as a growing company.”

ContextMedia: Health is the leading provider of health information services at the point of care in the United States. ContextMedia:Health has been educating patients at the point of care since 2006, and partners with over 100 health brands across the top global pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers to deliver custom digital solutions across its networks.

ContextMedia:Health will officially relocate its headquarters in March 2016 from 489 Fifth Ave.

Ashik Desai, EVP of Business Growth and Analytics for ContextMedia:Health, said, “The office move supports the company’s expanding New York team. In order to support our growing partnerships in the life sciences, ContextMedia:Health is increasing the size of our marketing, analytics and business development teams.  On track to reach 100 employees in our New York office by the end of 2016, we’ve outgrown our current space, and are excited to have found a new home to build this team at 114 West 41st St.”

Scott Klau, Erik Harris, Ben Shapiro and Zach Weil of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the ownership in the leasing of this transaction. Freeman and Silverstein represented Equity Office in-house. Sacha Zarba and Jeff Fischer of CBRE represented ContextMedia:Health. Asking rents within this area of the building average in the mid-$70-per s/f range.
