JAACRES welcomes Benchimol

Dan Benchimol

New York, NY Dan Benchimol has joined the JAACRES commercial real estate brokers. He will report to JAACRES president Joseph Aquino. 

A 19-year veteran of the commercial real estate business, Benchimol specializes in retail- and entertainment-related properties. He has completed deals with theatre groups, schools, restaurants, office & industrial tenants, as well as jewelry and clothing retailers. 

“Dan has been a serial entrepreneur for over 25 years,” said Aquino. “He has a record of establishing or resurrecting more than 25 businesses. He has had experience in accounting, green energy consulting, concierge tech support, international retail, and art dealing, and he has connections to several Wall Street-based financial companies. Dan is going to be a great asset to JAACRES’ international and New York City-based clients. We’re glad to have him aboard.”

Benchimol holds Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts in Mathematics, Economics, and Philosophy, from Sarah Lawrence College and the State University of New York at Purchase. He earned a Magister Philosophie in Modern Philosophy from ECLA in Berlin, and Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Business Administration degrees in Accounting from Bellevue University. He speaks German, Spanish, Yiddish, Turkish, and French, as well as English.

Benchimol has lived and worked in Berlin, Istanbul, the Austrian cities of Kitzbühel and Innsbruck, and Las Vegas, Nev. For fun, he likes to travel, spend time with his five-year-old son, read, and expand his knowledge of technology. He is also an internationally rated competitive Scrabble player.
