Manhattan, NY Bar des Prés, the internationally acclaimed Franco-East Asian restaurant, helmed by celebrated chef Cyril Lignac, is set to make its grand entrance into New York City. Following successful openings in Paris, London, Dubai and St. Bart’s, this will be its sixth location, bringing its unique blend of French and Japanese.

Alongside Bar des Prés, two new concepts by chef Lignac will open at 345 Park Ave. A contemporary French brasserie and an artisanal French bakery and café. This trio of concepts from the Cyril Lignac Group and D.ream International – the global restaurant group behind international venues such as Zuma, Amazonico, and Coya – are set to launch at the Rudin-owned building in early 2027.

Bar des Prés New York will offer a menu that blends Lignac’s French culinary expertise with Japanese precision and creativity, showcasing seasonal ingredients while honouring traditional techniques. The menu features an array of signature dishes such as langoustine ravioli in bisque with Sichuan pepper, salmon tiradito with tosazu jelly and yuzu pepper, and Brittany blue lobster salad with elderflower vinaigrette. Guests will be treated to a selection of delicate plates, crafted with the finest ingredients. The dessert menu pays homage to Cyril Lignac’s roots as a master pastry chef, offering creations that celebrate classic French pastries. Highlights include vanilla mille feuille with pecan praline and apple tarte fine with caramel and vanilla ice cream.

The restaurant’s design, inspired by Parisian elegance, will transport guests to a chic 1950s wine bar, with rich mahogany accents, and a red, blue and brown colour palette. Open for both lunch and dinner, the dining area is designed to cater to a range of experiences, from intimate meals to lively social gatherings. The restaurant will be located at street level.

Cyril Lignac is not only a culinary powerhouse but also a television personality, known for his charismatic presence on screen and his entrepreneurial spirit. With a devoted following in France and beyond, Lignac’s ventures have consistently set new standards in the culinary world.

His ability to combine French tradition with contemporary flair has made his venues must-visit destinations for food lovers and trendsetters alike.

“When the opportunity to introduce one of France’s most celebrated and beloved culinary talents to New York City presented itself, we knew it would immediately become a signature element of 345 Park Ave. Chef Lignac and D.ream’s Bar des Prés will both reflect and enhance the Plaza District’s unparalleled excellence and allure. We look forward to welcoming these exceptional new offerings to 345 Park and the surrounding community,” said Michael Rudin, co-CEO of Rudin.

Chef Lignac is set to make its debut in 2027.

Developed by Rudin, the 44-story, 1.9 million s/f Plaza District tower opened in 1969 and has housed top-tier companies.
