Cord Meyer Development signs five leases totaling 13,138 s/f

Cord Meyer Development and local dignitaries celebrate the grand opening of Avo Taco at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center in Bayside.

Queens, NY Cord Meyer Development Co. signed three restaurant tenants at its Bay Terrace Shopping Center in Bayside, and two more restaurants at commercial properties owned by the company in Forest Hills according Cord Meyer vice president leasing Matthew O’Grady.

At Bay Terrace Shopping Center, Cord Meyer Development’s recent restaurant transactions included:

• Avo Taco; 2,533 s/f; brokered by Tom Rettaliata, managing director and partner, RIPCO Real Estate, Long Island office.

• Rosa Pizza; 2,770 s/f.

• Monster Crab; 3,988 s/f; brokered by Hymie Dweck, RIPCO Real Estate.

In Forest Hills, Cord Meyer Development welcomed:

• Kyuramen Restaurant and Bar; 2,533 s/f at 108-50 Queens Blvd.; brokered by Harris Bulow, principal, broker at FlagShip Era, Inc.

• Gregory’s Coffee; 1,314 s/f at 107-28 71st Ave.

“Throughout 2022, we saw a post-lockdown surge in demand for quality restaurant space, from fast casual to fine dining,” O’Grady said. “We anticipate interest remaining strong in 2023 and are well positioned to meet most any restaurant or retailer’s needs.”

“In addition to inquiries from commercial brokers, we are hearing directly from national and regional restaurants chains, multi-unit operators, and independent restaurants,” concluded O’Grady. “It’s exciting to see this level of interest from a market segment that continues to rebound.”
