Colliers International, which operates out of 43,000 s/f at 380 Madison, delivers market-leading brokerage, consulting, research, project management, healthcare, property management, and valuation services.
The expansion to 136 Madison Ave. is but the latest in an ongoing series of investments for the Tri-State operations of Colliers International, which is preparing for an influx of new hires. The organization continues to recruit senior-level tenant representatives, consultants and corporate services executives from across the industry.
"Moving the management company, which continues to grow, allows that business line to operate out of its own dedicated space, while also freeing up our space at 380 Madison, where we plan to house new hires as they come aboard," said Mark Jaccom, CEO of the Tri-State operations. "We are growing at a rate that necessitates additional facilities and gives us the flexibility to shift personnel into the most efficient space. We also realize that now is an opportune time in the market to lock in expansion space."
Executive VP Joseph Caridi, who leads the recruitment drive, noted that opening up a second office will also help the organization continue to lure top talent. "Executives throughout the industry are taking note of our continued investment in the brand," he said. "It signals to the market that Colliers International is expanding even as other real estate firms are retrenching. Our second Manhattan office is visible proof that we continue to have strong confidence in the growth of our business."
The New York operation adopted the Colliers International brand earlier this year and operates as the organization's New York Tri-State hub. It already has recruited a number of top professionals, including vice chairman James Emden; operations heads Gerard Hallock (Connecticut/Westchester) and Robert Martie (New Jersey); Mark Silver (National Seniors Housing Practice Group); Frank Edwards (project management); Patrick Craig (appraisal and valuation) and a dominant New Jersey industrial team.
Colliers International also recently expanded into Long Island with the addition of the former Sutton & Edwards to the platform. That move followed expansions throughout the country, with new offices recently added in Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Grand Rapids and Indianapolis.
