Christian Miller - President's message: It has been a great ride!

It has been a wonderful experience full of exciting challenges, forward moving changes, and the opportunity to volunteer and network with great IFMA NYC members. Together with our executive board and committee chairs we have accomplished many things; the following few were special to me: * Changed our name from IFMA Greater New York to IFMA New York City * Initiated our Facebook and Linked In social media groups * Began FMP and CFM designation educational sessions * Initialed the Young Professionals/Emerging Leader Committee and programs * Initialed recognition of our Long Term Chapter Members through our Heritage Society event * Initiated World Work Place social events for attendees * Accreditation of the Pratt Institute FM Program by IFMA National. None of these improvements could be done without the excellent executive board members who have led our chapter with me the last two years: * Brian Ostrowe, VP * Steve La Valley, VP * Frank Lazzaro, Treasurer * Laura Gimpel, Co-Secretary And especially Ellen Haines, V.P. and Colleen Moran co-secretary. Also, nothing happens at the member level without our excellent committee leaders and their dedicated committee members. * Gary Anzalone - Networking * Abby Golding and Gail Frank - Programs * Nadine Cino and Michael Passaro - Sustainability * Ivan Mann and Wendi Pflaum - Membership * Jennifer Conine - Communications * Joy Feiertag - Career Services * J. Strong - IFMA Bucks * Michael Moskowitz - IFMA Cares And uncountable thanks to that special behind the scenes person, the IFMA NYC Chapter's voice on the phone, Patty Oliveira our chapter administrator. Patty and I probably spoke an average two times a day over my entire term. I am very grateful to all of her assistance and patience over the years. I look forward to my next role as past president assisting our president-elect Brian Ostrowe with his plans for our next step in making us the greatest IFMA Chapter in the world.
