Celebrating Excellence: BOMA NY’s 53rd Annual Pinnacle Awards

Manhattan, NY Each September, BOMA New York honors the best in commercial real estate with the prestigious Pinnacle Awards, celebrating the premiere buildings and professionals that embody the spirit of New York City. This year marks the 53rd Annual Pinnacle Awards, and the excitement is already building as the nominees have been announced.

The Pinnacle Awards are recognized as the peak of achievement in the NYC commercial real estate industry. The competition is rigorous, with a comprehensive nomination and submission process that ensures only the best are honored. These awards highlight the exceptional work and dedication of those who keep New York’s commercial buildings running at top performance.

This year’s nominees span various categories, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of the industry. Categories include Historical Building, New Construction, Earth, Renovated Building, Mixed-Use Building, and several operational categories based on building size. Individual awards such as the Henry J. Muller Vision Award, Emerging Leader, Outstanding Local Member, Manager of the Year, Chief Operating Engineer, Security Professional, Janitorial Professional, and Fire Life Safety Director, showcase the talent and commitment of the people who make a significant impact in their roles.

Patrick Dolan, chair of BOMA New York and senior property manager at The Durst Organization, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, said “The Pinnacle Awards are a testament to the extraordinary work and dedication of our industry professionals. It’s a night where we celebrate not just the buildings, but the people who make them great. Their creativity, commitment, and excellence set the standard for the entire industry.”

Eligible Pinnacle Award winners enter the national TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) award competition – first at the Regional level (the Mid-Atlantic Conference Regional Awards, covering 16 major cities from Boston to Washington, DC) and then at the North American level (BOMA International), including all of the US and Canada. Each year, within the BOMA International community, New York climbs the pinnacle with greater success as local awardees win their categories at local and international competitions. Though excellence has been recognized through an awards process for more than four decades, several years ago a pledge was made to raise New York’s awards profile on the Regional and International levels. The result has been extraordinary, with 60 Regional TOBY Winners and 16 International TOBY winners!

The event promises an evening of celebration, networking, and recognition of the remarkable contributions to New York City’s commercial real estate landscape. It’s a night where industry leaders come together to celebrate excellence and innovation. BOMA New York invites you to join us at Chelsea Piers on September 26th for an unforgettable evening celebrating the achievements that define the spirit and success of the organization. Don’t miss the chance to be part of the biggest night in NYC real estate.
