Cahill joins Cresa as principal/senior advisor to lead life sciences practice

According to the New York office of Cresa, John Cahill, a real estate executive who is licensed in both New York and New Jersey, has joined the firm as principal, senior advisor and N.Y. head of Cresa's life sciences practice. Cahill will be tasked with expanding the firm's pharmaceutical, medical and biotechnology client base in New York Metro and nationally, in addition to helping bolster the company's retail practices in major markets including New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Long Island and the Hamptons. "Cresa New York's market share has continued to grow at a rapid pace, especially because we're emerging as the only true tenant-rep firm in New York City. As a direct result, we're expanding new areas of client expertise and placing a large emphasis on the level of service we provide to existing and future clients, particularly in the field of life sciences," said Mark Jaccom, president and managing principal of Cresa New York. "Adding senior leadership with deep knowledge of life sciences brokerage was critical and I know John will bring a new level of influence and contacts to our firm. I've seen him add great value to the industry over the years and respect his ability to build up practice groups for large companies in the past." Cahill comes to Cresa New York from Colliers International, where he was responsible for office and laboratory leasing in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania region, as well as retail leasing on both the East and West Coasts. He is a recognized leader who specializes in the representation of corporate clients who are looking to evaluate new markets; find an office space, research and development facility or a manufacturing building; as well as dispose of existing facilities. "This position at Cresa New York is an opportunity to work with Mark after knowing him for years, while taking my previous experience to another level with a collaborative and entrepreneurial team of brokers," said Cahill. "I look forward to advising both local and national companies seeking lab, office and medical space, in addition to working further with the major retail clients I have from both coasts. As part of the Cresa New York team, my aim will also be to enhance the company's newly established partnership with SRS Real Estate." Cahill's work background prior to Colliers International includes six years with Cushman & Wakefield, where he specialized in the company's Global Life Sciences division, and six years of years of pharmaceutical sales and marketing with Johnson & Johnson and Alcon Laboratories. As a graduate of Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management, Cahill also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in operations management.

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking
