Buckingham Properties signs 20,000 s/f in leases at Brighton/Pittsford locations

Buckingham Properties has signed leases with five tenants, Ruby Road, Huntington Learning Center, Lululemon, NY Pro Nails and Monroe's Restaurant on Monroe Ave. at the Brighton/Pittsford border. The combined area leased by these great businesses totals some 20,000 s/f. With their business growing rapidly Ruby Road, a women's apparel store, opened a new larger location in the Monroe Clover Plaza at 2947 Monroe Ave. Ruby Road was previously next door in Buckingham Properties' Spring House Commons. The store relocated to expand and offer a more extensive line of clothing to growing retail customers, another sign that the retail market continues to improve. Monroe's Restaurant, Pittsford's newest restaurant, opened in Spring House Commons at 3001 Monroe Ave. with their grand opening in late February of this year. The 10,000 s/f restaurant is already a popular dining spot. Huntington Learning Center, a national organization has opened across the street at 3050 Monroe Ave. in Oak Hill Commons at 3040 Monroe Ave., Pittsford. Huntington provides quality instruction to children in grades K-12. The new location was ideal for the center based on location, visibility and an increased need to have a branded tutoring service for children in the area. Lululemon, the yoga-inspired athletic apparel company, has also chosen Oak Hill Commons for their first Rochester location. The Rochester showroom is a cozier version of their other retail stores. Another recent addition to the Oak Hill Commons development is NY Pro Nails, an upscale nail salon that opened in February 2011 offering the newest beauty destination in Pittsford. "The purchasing power of the area's demographics plus the customer flow potential due to the 47,500 cars daily passing by on Monroe Avenue was very attractive to these businesses. That coupled with our commitment to our tenants and the property's up-scale design made it the ideal opportunity for these businesses," said Buckingham Properties' Rick Glazer. "In the case of Ruby Road, their experienced success in Spring House Commons made it a simple decision to expand into the adjacent Monroe Clover Plaza. We are very pleased to have attracted these strong tenants to our properties. Potential new tenants are calling every day and the next new tenant is in negotiations."
