About the Speakers:
As president of Extell Development Company, Barnett oversees a real estate portfolio exceeding 10 million s/f of residential, hotel, commercial and retail space, as well as golf developments. Barnett has risen to become one of the preeminent developers in the real estate industry, discovering the hidden value in real estate properties through vision, research, assemblage and management. He is personally involved in all aspects of Extell's projects, including acquisition, financing, design, layouts and finishes. As a result, Extell has gained a reputation for its acute ability to create projects that consistently outperform the marketplace.
Duncan has over 25 years experience in commercial real estate acquisition, financing, repositioning, management and leasing, all at GCS. He is the controlling partner of the company. Since taking over leadership of GCS in the early 1990s, he acquired and redeveloped many company-owned properties, totaling over $3 billion in value. The company manages 11 million s/f, including the 1.8 million s/f Worldwide Plaza. Peter Duncan is a licensed commercial broker in the State of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
Picket is president of Gotham Organization, Inc. and CEO of Gotham Developers, LLC. Since joining the company in 1991, Picket has led Gotham's new project development business through a period of growth that is unprecedented in the company's 80-year history. He became responsible for Gotham's development and property operations businesses in 1998. Under his direction, Gotham has greatly expanded its holdings of high-end, luxury buildings and its development of urban retail centers in New York and the northeast. He has been responsible for the development of over 4,000 housing units.
Stoler is the president of New York Real Estate TV, LLC, and a managing director at Madison Realty Capital, a private equity firm. Prior to joining Madison in January 2009, he served as a Senior Principal at the AREA Property Partners (Apollo Real Estate Advisors), a leading international real estate fund manager, from 2006 to November 2008. In this role, he focused on new acquisitions across all of Apollo's funds under management. From 2001 to 2006, he served as Senior Vice President at First American Title Insurance Company of
New York and Princeton Commercial Corp., a management consulting and financing firm, which he founded in 1977.
