What leadership lesson has made the greatest impact on your career?

The greatest leadership lesson I’ve learned is that your reputation is your most valuable asset. Every interaction is an opportunity to build credibility. I’ve learned that people remember how you communicate under pressure, whether you follow through on your commitments, and how you treat others when no one is watching. Skills can open doors, but integrity and consistency are what build lasting careers and trusted partnerships.

What trend or change in commercial real estate do you believe will have the biggest impact over the next five years?

The future of commercial real estate will be driven by technology that simplifies operations and empowers smarter decision-making. Owners and managers are under increasing pressure to do more with fewer resources while navigating complex compliance requirements. Companies that embrace data, automation, and integrated platforms to streamline building operations, inspections and regulatory compliance will have a significant competitive advantage. Technology won’t replace relationships - it will strengthen them by allowing professionals to focus on strategy and service.

What advice would you give to the next generation of women entering commercial real estate?

Don’t wait until you feel completely qualified before raising your hand. Confidence comes from experience, not the other way around. Build your reputation on preparation, integrity and reliability - those qualities will open more doors than any title. Find mentors, ask questions, and never underestimate the value of relationships. Commercial real estate is a small industry, and the way you treat people will define your career long after individual transactions are forgotten.
