What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of? NYC Bar – Coop/Condo section.

How have you navigated obstacles to achieve success in your career? I have learned that every experience- good or bad- in my career, is an opportunity to learn and grow. It took years to recognize that obstacles are just a test to determine how determined you are to achieve your goal. I have learned to embrace an obstacle and figure my way around it by exercising diplomacy, focus, patience and a level-head to mediate and resolve. In the end, whatever the obstacle- it’s who you are at your core that often times shines through and permits you to navigate around an obstacle.

How do you play your strengths to your advantage in your career? My litigation skill set and ability to predict how things may unfold before a jury or a judge has tremendously helped in mediating and resolving issues that may come up in any transaction or construction project. Trustworthiness and reputation are also predicates for negotiating any deal or dispute.

What trends are you seeing so far this year? I have noticed that more and more female attorneys are getting involved in construction related cases, which I think is amazing!

What do you do for fun? Get together with friends and laugh as much as possible over a nice glass of wine!
