Name & Title: David Perlmutter, President

Company Name: Perlmutter Properties Inc. and QuantumListing

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2016?

It’s not the biggest project, or the most lucrative, but was probably the most fulfilling transaction this year. I worked with a customer who wanted to open a Laundromat in the Bronx. He had been working on his own on another location that fell through, and he and his wife decided to seek professional help. They were pouring their life’s savings into this project and it was really important to them. I was happy to be able to share my 30 years of experience in helping them navigate the rocky shoals of New York commercial real estate, find a great location, and sign a long term lease that will be the foundation of their dream.

What project, transaction, market trend or product had the greatest impact on your industry this year?

I may be biased since I have a CRE tech start up, but, real estate tech is having a tremendous impact on the industry. Leveraging big data, making buildings more efficient, and brokers more productive are all going to be ongoing trends to keep an eye and embrace.

How will you be supercharging your productivity in 2017?

With QuantumListing, I recently started using Salesforce.com and some of the ancillary products to help with marketing automation. I’m still on a steep learning curve, but am excited about its potential. I am confident that what I’ve been learning will have an impact on Perlmutter Properties Inc. over the coming year.
