2015 Year in Review - Iva Kravitz

Iva Kravitz, The Iva Agency Iva Kravitz, The Iva Agency
What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2015? We started working with two excellent new clients in 2015, Handel Architects and Magnusson Architects and Planners. They are very different firms, but both are doing exciting work that is making New York City better. We are thrilled to be working with them. What real estate project, transaction, market trend or product had a significant impact on your industry in 2015? Trends we were excited about in 2015: passive house technology on a large scale, super-green and progressive affordable housing, affordable housing in every aspect in New York, ever-greener buildings, the Wellness standard for building design and construction. How will you be supercharging your productivity in 2016? I have found that the absolute best way to supercharge productivity, as terrible as it sounds, is to be so hammered with work that we are doing it all the time. It’s true that the busiest person you know is the most likely to get something done. What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2016? In Brooklyn, the city’s push for density and affordable housing will spur development in the city-identified neighborhood of Broadway Junction/East New York.  All over the region but especially in Manhattan, foreign investment, especially from China, seems to be continuing unabated, driving prices up at every stage of development.  Demand for housing will continue at every price point and in every neighborhood.  All eyes on the Bronx!
