Plainview, NY Rechler Equity Partners recently awarded 11 academically gifted Long Island high school students with Rechler Equity Partners Science Scholarships. These scholarships will help these deserving students pay for college-related expenses as they continue on to the next stage of their education. Since 2008, Rechler Equity Partners has offered scholarships annually to dedicated students who have shown a passion in science, excellence in their community, and have plans to pursue a college degree in a science-related field.

“Rechler Equity Partners is extremely proud to be able to help support local high school graduates looking to continue their education in a science-related field,” said Mitchell Rechler, managing partner of Rechler. “L.I.’s demand for high-skilled workers, primarily in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, continues to grow. It’s important that we support these promising young students who will bring their education back to L.I. and continue to help our economy thrive.”

One student from each of the following 11 high schools has been selected and awarded a $500 scholarship: Hampton Bays, Hauppauge, Hicksville, Sayville, Westhampton Beach, John F. Kennedy, Amityville, Connetquot, Farmingdale, and Half Hollow Hills East and West. Each school was responsible for nominating one of its qualified students to receive the Rechler Equity Partners Science Scholarship.

“It’s an honor for us to support future leaders in the sciences through the Rechler Equity Partners Science Scholarship,” said Gregg Rechler, managing partner of Rechler Equity Partners. “Our company grows from the investments made here on Long Island, and the best investments we can make are in people. Being able to give back and reward these rising stars for their years of hard work and dedication is just an extension of our overall business philosophy.”
