One of the most popular industry spotlights hosted by the New York Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women's Network (NYCREW) will make a triumphant return on October 15, as three scions of the city's most prominent real estate clans gather for "The Women Leading New York's Real Estate Families, Take Three." The session will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Women's National Republican Club/3 West Club, 3 West 51st St.
Archie Gottesman, co-owner and chief branding officer of Edison Properties, Shari Goodstein Rossi, chairwoman and CFO of Eagle Air and Partner, Goodstein Organization LLC, and Laurie Zucker, vice chair of Zucker Organization, will join moderator Faith Hope Consolo, chairman of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group, in a discussion of the state of the industry, and how they are evolving their companies to deal with current challenges and opportunities. Two previous editions of this panel featured prominent leaders from Durst Organization, Rose Associates, Rudin Management Company, Olshan Properties and Silverstein Properties.
"This session, which is rapidly becoming a NYCREW tradition, always features some of the sharpest minds in New York City commercial real estate: the next generation of our industry," said Consolo, a board member of NYCREW and of the national organization, CREW. "I always find it thrilling to moderate, and am particularly pleased that Shari Rossi, who participated on last year's panel, is joining us again!"
Gottesman oversees marketing, advertising and human resources of Edison's multiple entities (which include Manhattan Mini Storage and Edison ParkFast) in Newark, N.J., Baltimore and New York City. She also has served as Chair and Vice Chair of New York's Animal Haven Shelter, and on the boards of the Foundation for Jewish Camp and the Women's Association of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Rossi represents aviation and real estate organizations in analytical, management and sales roles, remaining active in her family's three-generation real estate legacy. From 1995 through August 2013, she served as a broker, manager and developer for Goodstein Equities and various family-related LLCs, and remains a partner. Her roles included budget analysis and financial reports, forecasting operating costs for scheduled project, identifying and investigating variances to financial plans,
and developing strategic plans for group assets.
Zucker's responsibilities encompass the overall management of The Zucker Organization's properties, including construction, finance, marketing and interior design, from the development stage through marketing, leasing and ongoing management of the property. The Zucker Organization is comprised of Manhattan Skyline Construction Corp., a general contracting firm, and Donald Zucker Company, a full-service mortgage concern.
"NYCREW is all about preparing its members, already successful professionals, for even greater leadership in our industry," said NYCREW Programs Committee Co-Chair Lorraine Mazza, a Vice President at the International Council of Shopping Centers. "These extraordinary women will give a unique perspective on the industry's history and its future."
