Rami Avadi, Skyline Group Real Estate

Contact Name: Rami Avadi, President and Founder Company Name: Skyline Group Real Estate Email: Phone: 212.425.3330 Fax: 212-425-2229 Address, City, State: 150 Broadway, Suite 506, New York, NY 10038 What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2010? Despite the challenging economic climate this year, Skyline Group Real Estate significantly increased its market share, number of transactions, and exclusive sale inventory in Brooklyn, a new market for the firm. The number of Skyline Group's 2010 residential transactions in Brooklyn grew by 46% in comparison to 2009. The firm's exclusive retail inventory increased by 30%. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2010? We succeeded in selling 194 Meserole St., a new, 8-unit condominium development in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 90 days. Skyline sold all units and created a condo board in under three months from the day it received the exclusive right to market and sell. Two other brokers had previously failed in selling any condominiums within the property. Another notable transaction was the rental of 16 units at 2167 Second Ave. in Manhattan's East Harlem, which Skyline completed in 45 days, while the property was still under construction. What predictions do you have for commercial real estate in 2011? I feel the market still has to undergo additional corrections due to the current lending environment, market uncertainty, maturing mortgages, and nearly 10% unemployment. I expect the market will finally stabilize in late 2011. What are some of your New Year's Resolutions? We plan to open new offices, increase the number of agents to 60, and expand into new submarkets of Brooklyn, Manhattan's Lower East Side, and the Bronx. We plan to support growth by offering our agents premium benefits not available at other brokerages. Of course, we understand that excellent client service is the main engine of the company's success and we'll continue to provide that.
