And why? The person I admire most in the real estate industry is my brother, Andi Metaliaj. He is so driven and knows exactly what he wants and where he wants to be and he does not give up. He has come so far in this industry because he is a go-getter who realizes the importance of building strong relationships and has taught me that you can't take the elevator to success; you have to take the stairs. What was the most important thing you learned in school? The most important thing I learned in school was freshman year of college. I realized that school wasn't all fun and games, but I had to actually work really hard to get good grades. This taught me to put in all of my effort in every job I had, and so I always worked hard. Furthermore, communication is key and college allows you to interact with so many different people - so you are constantly learning from those around you. What is the best advice you ever received? What's the next big project you want to tackle? The best advice I have ever received was from my mom. She always taught my siblings and me that we have to follow our hearts - life is far too short to follow what somebody else wants. We must be passionate about the jobs we have and use this passion to help make a difference in the world - and always help those in need. The next big project I want to tackle is to get more deals for our company. Every client and every deal has not only helped us grow, but it has helped us build long-term relationships. What is one goal—either personal or professional—that you would like to accomplish during your lifetime? As cliché as this might sound, one of my main goals in life is to be happy. You must have a vision of your happiness, and usually the decisions you make throughout your life will be based on this vision. However, it is also important to not set higher standards that might make you fall short because this will lead to greater discontent.
