Ward of The Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J. keynote speaker - Sept. 14
Christopher Ward, executive director of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will serve as keynote speaker on September 14, for Remembrance & Renewal, the BOMA/NY program commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11, being held at Battery Gardens. BOMA/NY's long-standing relationship with the Port Authority includes coming together over the first World Trade Center attack in the early 1990s, and sharing insight on future plans for the site in the intervening decade.
The program will feature a brief tribute video listing the names of all those who worked for BOMA/NY member companies and lost their lives that day, as well as a look forward to the many accomplishments made by the commercial building industry in safety, security, emergency response and training. BOMA/NY is encouraging all members of the industry to honor the day with a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. on 9/11.
