Kostow Greenwood Architects partners in the completion of Pacha NY - multi-faceted venue

Manhattan, NY KGA (Kostow Greenwood Architects) has contributed to the completion of Pacha New York, a new outdoor venue for the legendary Ibiza-born entertainment brand’s expansion into New York City.

Conceptualized by the Pacha New York team, the venue has been designed to accommodate more than 5,000 guests and demonstrates how temporary architecture can support large-scale entertainment while creating a distinctive destination.

Completed in six months from concept through construction, the project challenged established approaches to temporary building design.

KGA collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a flexible, multi-faceted venue on an accelerated schedule.

The exterior envelope is organized around a system of modular scaffolding with prefabricated panels and utilizes modified shipping containers to house bars, guest amenities, back-of-house operations, and building services. These systems provided a durable, adaptable infrastructure that could be assembled quickly while meeting the performance and compliance demands of a venue operating at festival scale.

For KGA, the commission represents a new project type and shows how modular construction can meet compressed timelines and complex operational requirements without compromising architectural quality or the guest experience. In doing so, the project establishes a home for Pacha in New York and expands the possibilities of temporary architecture.
