Meet the IFMA Member - Teri Meek

In late 2008 at the start of the recession, SOM consolidated numerous floors into two floors. This required the renovation of the main floors, the return of two floors to building management and relocation of staff. During the course of this renovation, I worked closely with the general contractor and subcontractors, in conjunction with IT services and project management to ensure facilities met the goals and deadlines expected of the partnership. 2009 was a huge accomplishment and a true test of my managerial abilities. IFMA offers various opportunities for facility managers to network with a large group of people that you would have otherwise never have been introduced. As a member of the new member committee, I look forward to welcoming new members to the IFMA community. I also intend to pursue the FMP program in 2012.
