Tully Rinckey's Cortelyou promoted to COO to oversee firm's growth
Tully Rinckey PLLC has promoted Graig Cortelyou to chief of operations. The promotion follows Tully Rinckey PLLC's expansion into the Syracuse and Buffalo markets, and it positions the firm for future growth. As Tully Rinckey PLLC's chief of operations, Cortelyou directs marketing, business development, strategic planning, and corporate communication efforts firmwide. He oversees a variety of initiatives, including public relations, client relations, recruiting, and information technology.
Prior to his promotion, Cortelyou served as the firm's chief marketing officer.
He joined the firm in 2007, and since then he has been working tirelessly to implement the vision of the firm's Founding and Managing Partners. With the help of the marketing initiatives he has developed and implemented, Tully Rinckey PLLC has more than tripled its number of employees to nearly 100 and its revenues have increased by 475 percent. He has been integral to expanding Tully Rinckey PLLC's reach along the Eastern Seaboard and beyond. From Tully Rinckey PLLC's headquarters in Albany, N.Y., Cortelyou planned and directed multiple expansion projects, including the launch of the firm's offices in Washington, D.C., Arlington, Va., Syracuse, N.Y., and Buffalo, N.Y.
"Since Graig joined Tully Rinckey, the firm has been repeatedly recognized as one of the nation's fastest growing companies. He's added horsepower to our strong and steady growth," said Tully Rinckey PLLC Managing Partner Greg T. Rinckey. "Through his innovative marketing strategies, Graig has distinguished Tully Rinckey from other law firms locally and nationally."
Cortelyou's efforts have contributed to making Tully Rinckey PLLC a national leader in effective, non-traditional law firm marketing. He has been featured as a legal marketing expert in local and national media outlets and has provided his insight and knowledge speaking before major legal conferences. In April, Cortelyou will speak at the Legal Marketing Association's annual conference in Las Vegas and last September he presented at the Thomson Reuters Social and Digital Media for Law Firms conference.
Cortelyou received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oswego. He is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, Legal Marketing Association, American Association of Inside Sales Professionals, and the Public Relations Society of America. The Albany Times Union in 2008 identified him as an "Up and Comer."
