TOTA of R.Y. Management Co., Inc. honored by IREM as CPM of the Year

According to Frank Socci, CPM, president of the Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management, Teresa Tota, CPM will be the recipient of the prestigious 2007 Certified Property Manager of the Year Award. The award will be presented to Tota at IREM's Annual Dinner & Awards on Wednesday evening, November 14 at Tavern on the Green. Socci said, "I can think of no other certified property manager that deserves this award more. Teresa embodies all that the CPM stands for--she has achieved professional excellence through significant real estate management experience, combined with extensive education and high ethics. She is a dedicated member of IREM and the contributions she has made to our chapter are too numerous to count. She is someone that all we all should not only admire, but emulate." Teresa Tota joined R.Y. Management Co, Inc. in 1982 where she is executive vice president. R.Y. Management is a division of the DeMatteis Organization with a portfolio in excess of 14,000 residential apartments including cooperative, rental and condominium developments in New York and New Jersey. Tota started with the firm shortly after graduating from college. As executive vice president, Tota is involved in the management and supervision of all of the properties in the firm's portfolio. In addition, she is responsible for the overall administration of the company's affordable housing portfolio, ensuring compliance with government regulations. She also directly oversees the management of a portfolio of luxury condominiums, cooperatives and market rental developments.
