Samsung Electronics North America has signed a long-term lease for the entirety of 837 Washington St. in New York City's Meatpacking District, company executives from developers Taconic Investment Partners and Thor Equities made the announcement.

837 Washington Street is ideally situated between Little West 12th and West 13th Streets and features six floors in addition to a cellar and available roof space, which boasts amazing views of the High Line Park. The building has 7,000 square feet of outdoor space on the 2nd floor, 3rd floor and rooftop provide unique entertainment options and some of Meatpacking's best vantage points of the High Line Park, Hudson River, Midtown and Lower Manhattan.
Featuring an innovative and revolutionary design from acclaimed architect Morris Adjmi, 837 Washington Street is a fully restored two-story landmark brick façade anchoring a new, iconic six-story twisting steel and glass exo-skeleton. The torquing structure, which elegantly rises from within the historic building, is wrapped by a floor to ceiling window wall and lush greenery that fills the negative spaces created by the building's unique configuration. The project was engineered to achieve LEED Gold certification.
Located just steps away from the High Line Park, the Standard Hotel, and the soon-to-be new home of the Whitney Museum, 837 Washington Street is highly visible and accessible to millions of pedestrians. Its eye-catching architecture and prominence on the High Line make it the ideal flagship destination in the Meatpacking District.
