The Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation of N.Y., N.J. and Conn. rolled out the red carpet on October 30th for the 18th annual star-studded celebrity sports auction at Madison Sq.Garden. Attended by over 600 of New York City's greater real estate and business communities, the event raised nearly $400,000 to benefit thousands of children who suffer from a wide range of critical, chronic and life-threatening diseases each day in the tri-state area. "We are so delighted that the 18th Annual Sports Auction, raised such a generous amount of money for seriously ill children in the tri-state and we were proud to feature and honor a star-studded lineup of prominent sports figures that continue to inspire both on the field and off," said Jeffrey Gural, chairman of Newmark Knight Frank and president of the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation of N.Y., N.J. and Conn. board of directors. "It is with the kindness and generosity of these sports stars, as well as New York's top business and real estate executives, that the foundation successfully touches the lives of over 275,000 seriously ill children and their families in the tri-state area through unique and imaginative programs."
