SWBR honored as a top architecture & engineering firm

Rochester, NY SWBR, formerly SWBR Architects, was recognized as a top-performing architecture and engineering (A/E) firm by PSMJ Resources Inc., a premier management consulting firm for the A/E industry based in Massachusetts. SWBR is one of 73 firms nationally that landed on PSMJ’s Circle of Excellence for its proven business achievement in the industry.

“SWBR is focused on positively impacting lives through meaningful design,” said Tom Gears, president of SWBR. “Creating great buildings and spaces for our community is what drives us every day, and we are honored for that recognition through multiple awards. Being part of The Circle of Excellence, however, sheds light on how seriously we work on the business side of our profession. Our operational team, including marketing, finance, human resource and information technology support groups are a vital part of our design and project management success.”

The Circle of Excellence represents the top 20% of participants in PSMJ’s annual A/E Financial Benchmark Survey, based on 13 key performance metrics, including profitability, overhead management, cash flow, productivity, business development, staff growth, lack of turnover and others.

“The Circle of Excellence is consistently made up of a diverse set of firms that come from all corners of the A/E space,” said Frank A. Stasiowski, founder and CEO of PSMJ Resources. “This is hard proof that success isn’t defined by a specific firm size, location or market niche. The top-performing firms just think and act differently than the rest of the pack to achieve extraordinary business performance.”

SWBR will be recognized at PSMJ’s THRIVE 2017 conference in October in Denver, Colorado.

In addition, the firm was recently recognized on Top Architectural lists for Building Design + Construction, ENR and Architectural Record.
