Stonehenge Partners' and SL Green's Morningside Heights 95-unit rental tower reaches 95% leased; Property renovated by steven Kratchman Architects with interiors by Andres Escobar

According to Stonehenge Partners, a fully-integrated owner, operator and developer of premier residential and commercial real estate, in partnership with real estate investment trust and property owner SL Green Realty Corp, 1080 Amsterdam - its new rental tower in Morningside Heights - is 95% leased, with apartments renting at record prices for the area. "The leasing activity at 1080 Amsterdam is a testament to Stonehenge's high-caliber product and the continuing appeal of the thriving neighborhood," said Ofer Yardeni, co-chairman and chief executive officer of Stonehenge. "The leasing velocity can be attributed to not only the beautiful and thoughtfully designed residences offered, but a community with a wide variety of perks. With 1080 Amsterdam, Stonehenge has set the pace for luxury apartments in Morningside Heights." Originally constructed in 1931, the 20-story property has been renovated by Steven Kratchman Architects and re-envisioned with interiors by Andres Escobar and a full suite of amenities. The 95 apartments range from studio to two-bedrooms, and have been renovated with high-end finishes and appointments, such as hardwood floors, Scavolini Italian cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops and stainless steel appliances. The Art Deco-inspired, 24-hour attended lobby is just one of many abundant amenities and services residents will enjoy, as well as a fully-equipped fitness center with a private studio; a media lounge designed for relaxation and socializing, with a flat screen TV, comfortable seating area and WiFi access; a bike storage hub; and onsite laundry facility. Programming in the building will kick-off with a guided bike tour this September of Morningside Heights and the Cloisters, offering a chance for residents to meet each other and become familiar with the neighborhood. Available apartments at 1080 Amsterdam include a limited selection of two-bedrooms with private terraces along with the crown jewel of the tower, a 1,300 s/f full-floor penthouse with two-bedrooms, two bathrooms, a formal dining room and wrap-around terrace with magnificent views stretching from Columbia University to FiDi. Monthly rents at 1080 Amsterdam range from $3,000 up to $9,900. For more information, visit www.1080amsterdam.com or call the leasing office at 646-833-1080.
