Silen joins Ernest & Young's Construction and Real Estate Advisory Services practice

Steve Silen has joined Ernst & Young LLP's Construction and Real Estate Advisory Services (CREAS) practice in Irvine, CA as a senior manager. Silen will be leading the firm's Corporate Real Estate Advisory practice for the western half of the US. CREAS advisory services can assist clients with their portfolio rationalization and site analysis; service delivery strategies operating model design; occupancy cost reduction; outsourcing (assessment, RFP development, service provider evaluation/selection, contracting/negotiation, implementation, governance and performance management); organizational design; and technology and process improvements, risk mitigation and control. Silen brings a wealth of knowledge to the practice and has an excellent track record across the entire corporate real estate life cycle. Prior to joining EY, Silen was a leader within KPMG's Real Estate and Facilities Management Advisory practice and held senior real estate and facilities management positions with firms in the pharmaceutical and oil and gas industry sectors. An accomplished leader in our field, Silen is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has written a series of articles related to integrated facilities management, sourcing of facilities management services, real estate strategies, lease administration, balanced scorecard, driving innovation and continuous improvement, and cost reduction.
