Sephora leases 6,200 s/f at Manhattan West

Manhattan, NY According to Brookfield Properties, Sephora signed a 6,200 s/f retail lease at Manhattan West. Sephora is the latest addition to the Manhattan West neighborhood which spans eight acres of retail, dining, hospitality, entertainment, residences, public space, and office space. Sephora, which will be located on the southern side of Manhattan West Plaza, is slated to open in 2025.

“Sephora is the perfect match for Manhattan West, aligning with our vision to curate a mix of experiential and wellness-oriented retailers that fit into the daily lives of everyone who lives, works, and visits the neighborhood,” said Jason Maurer, Executive Vice President of National Urban Retail for Brookfield Properties’ office business. “Manhattan West’s direct connection to the busiest transit hub in the country, Moynihan Train Hall and Penn Station, and one of the most popular tourist destinations, The High Line, helps to position our retailers for success and we can’t wait for Sephora to open its doors for the community.”

Since its debut in North America 25 years ago, Sephora has been a leader in prestige omni-retail with the mission of creating an inviting beauty shopping experience and inspiring fearlessness. With the goal of delivering unbiased shopping support and a personalized experience, Sephora invites customers to discover thousands of products from more than 360 carefully curated brands, explore online and through its mobile app, enjoy services at the Beauty Studio and engage with expertly trained Beauty Advisors in more than 600 stores across the Americas.

Manhattan West, an eight-acre mixed-use neighborhood developed by Brookfield Properties, opened in September 2021. The neighborhood offers an array of wellness retailers, including Peloton Studios, Peachy, Reset by Therabody, and Silver Mirror, and is anchored by Whole Foods. Manhattan West also boasts an impressive roster of restaurants, bars, and cafes, including Ci Siamo, Zou Zou’s, Daily Provisions, Casa Dani, Katsuya, S Bar, Chez Zou, and upscale culinary market Citizens New York, as well as entertainment venue Midnight Theater. Featuring over six-million-square feet of trophy office, Manhattan West serves as the headquarters to some of the world’s largest and most prestigious companies, including Accenture, BBVA, EY, KPMG, Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Skadden, NHL, and more. The site is centered around a 2.5-acre public pedestrian plaza which offers free arts and events programming year-round, and as of June 2023, provides direct connection to the acclaimed elevated park, The High Line.
