Sablan of FXFOWLE: Proud of team effort for MOBE in Saudi Arabia

Name: Pascale Sablan, AIA, LEED AP, NOMA Title: Associate Company Name: FXFOWLE Follow my company on Twitter @FXFOWLE What year did you start your career in commercial real estate: 2007 Email: [email protected] What recent project or transaction are you most proud of? The project that I am the most proud of would be the Museum of the Built Environment (MOBE) in Saudi Arabia. MOBE is one of eleven buildings FXFOWLE designed within the King Abdullah Financial District. The pride I have for this project stems from the collaborative design process and team effort. What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why? The most prolific achievement of my career to date is when I became a licensed Architect. Since I was very young being an architect was always my answer when asked. In high school I attended a "What's an Architect" seminar which only solidified my passion. Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career and why? FXFOWLE Senior Principal Sudhir Jambhekar is the strongest influence on my career, and an amazing mentor. He encourages me (and the entire design team) to express my opinion, and maintain and celebrate different perspectives. He fosters a collaborative environment while nourishing my leadership skills all while demanding the very best. List 3 women that you would like to have drinks / dinner with and where would you go? Zaha Hadid for her incredible work and design process; Beverly Willis for all that she has done to promote and elevate women in the field of architecture; and Olajumoke Adenowo for her amazing contribution to her home country Nigeria in their development of their built environment. I would ask each of them what building most inspires her, and together, all of us would spend the day touring each of these places. What is your favorite quote? "We are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act but a habit" - Aristotle.
