Rubenstein of Lend Lease discusses three influential women

Name: Sara Rubenstein Title: Associate Counsel and Assistant Secretary Company Name: Lend Lease Years in Commercial Real Estate: 14 In the last 12 months, which project, transaction, honor or accomplishment are you most proud of and why? I have had the privilege of working on numerous transactions that are each noteworthy. I have also received several honors and accolades, such as being named as one of the Top 20 Under 40 by ENR, and I am extremely proud and honored by this. My biggest source of pride however, is being able to see the projects for which I drafted the contracts and knowing that I had a small part in making it happen. What were your biggest fears when you started out in your profession? I don't know that I had any fear. I have always just rolled up my sleeves and tried to do the very best work possible. Who are three women- living or dead - that you would like to have drinks with and why? Opera Winfrey, Gloria Steinem and Sheryl Sandberg. What was your first job and what did you learn from it? I had several part time jobs when I was in high school, and I learned the value of hard work and integrity. What is your favorite quote? "Things come to those who wait, but only the things left behind by those who hustle," by Abraham Lincoln. What social media and/or face to face networking activities do you find most beneficial professionally? LinkedIn. What are you doing differently in 2014 that has had positive impact on your career? I am going after my goals with vision and focus and not letting anything impede.
