Romer Debbas appoints attorney Viviano as partner

New York, NY According to Romer Debbas LLP, Lina Viviano has joined the firm as a partner whose practice will focus on residential real estate transactions and related litigation matters.

Viviano concentrates on the representation of purchasers and sellers of cooperatives, condominiums, townhouses and single-family residences, and clients in a wide range of real estate and general litigation disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Viviano was a partner in the New York office of Winston & Strawn LLP.  She has practiced law for over 20 years.

Viviano was also formerly associated with TOWN Residential. She was the director of professional development for TOWN Residential between 2014 and 2017, and the director of sales for TOWN Astor Place between 2016 and 2017.

“Lina’s broad range of real estate industry skills complements her work as an attorney and her legal representation of clients,” said Romer Debbas LLP co-partner Michael Romer.

 “At TOWN Residential, Lina successfully guided many multi-million-dollar real estate transactions from listing to closing and brings that experience to bear when guiding clients through the legal complexities inherent in the purchase or sale of a home, cooperative and condominium” said Romer Debbas LLP co-partner Pierre Debbas.

Viviano also possesses an extensive knowledge of city history and architecture. She is the founder of “Gotham Walking Tours,” a historical consulting and private walking tour company she founded approximately twenty years ago. She is a professionally-licensed NYC guide who has advised developers and brokers with respect to the provenance of properties and their surrounding neighborhoods.

Viviano is a summa cum laude graduate of Queens College (CUNY), and holds a Master’s degree in American Government from Harvard University. She received a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law. Viviano is licensed to practice law in New York State, where she was awarded top honors for her writing and oratorical skills, including election to The Order of the Barristers, and first place in a national moot court (constitutional law) competition.

Viviano taught American government and history courses as a teaching fellow at Harvard University, where she received high praise from the undergraduate body for her teaching skills.  She lectures extensively on a wide variety of legal, industry (best practices), and historical topics related to residential real estate transactions.

Viviano is licensed to practice law in New York State.
