“I am very psyched and also a music lover and focused really hard to plant Roland’s First flagship store in New York City in hopes to bring Music Row back.”

The MeatPacking District is the area for Roland where most of their electronic products are connected to technology and having the Flagship Apple Store across the street made sense to be there. Music today is integrated with Apple computer hardware called Logic Pro Roland’s Electric Drum Mapping, SI-24, USB Audio Recording, DAW control and apple iPad and iPhone that connects to your own fingertips.

Decades ago Music Row District located on West 48th St was the legendary area for musicians to purchase music instruments from the stores: Manny’s Music, Alex Music, Rudy’s Music Stop, and Sam Ash. Now times have changed over the years and has turned into mostly office buildings. Also there was Tin Pan Alley District was once known as center for music publisher and songwriters during late 19th and 20th centuries located on West 28th St. between 5th and 6th Ave. Now the area is mostly wholesale clothing, accessories, fashion jewelry and no longer a music hub anymore.
