PWC holds Mentorship Panel in July at Syracuse University; Moderated by Co of Syracuse University

Syracuse, NY On July 24th, Professional Women in Construction New York’s (PWC-NY) Mentorship Committee hosted its first panel of the year on career growth and development at Syracuse University – Fisher Center. The event started with a networking reception followed by a panel discussion. 

The main topics of this panel were career growth and advancement and recognizing diverse talents, experiences and backgrounds in the AEC industry. The panelists spoke about how they built their own careers and also how they have influenced the development of others.

Angela Co, director of the NYC architecture program, Syracuse University moderated and led an engaging discussion. The panelists included Nicole Dosso, technical director, SOM; Nancy Czesak, vice president, AECOM Tishman Construction; Aine O’Dwyer, CEO, Enovate Engineering; and Joanne Minieri, executive vice president & COO, RXR Realty. 

The event was sponsored by Skanska, AECOM Tishman, and E-J Electric. 

PWC-NY is in its third year of running the Emerging and Experienced Professionals Mentorship Program. This program aims to connect women who are at different stages of their careers so that they can engage in supportive relationships with like-minded individuals in the industry to foster growth and confidence. 

PWC-NY’s next event will be Deal or No Deal: Negotiating for a Better Future on September 10 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The event will be hosted by PWC-NY’s professional development advisory council. The event will be held at the Allsteel Showroom, 79 Madison Ave.

PWC-NY will also hold Salute to Women of Achievement on September 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Battery Park Restaurant, 1 Battery Place. 

PWC-NY will honor the following professionals for their outstanding careers and contributions to empowering women in the AEC industry. Congratulations to this year’s honorees!
