Plourde of McDevitt Co. reps tenant, Free People, in 4,013 s/f lease at Tishman Speyer's 600 Fifth Avenue

According to Tishman Speyer, Free People, a women's clothing, shoes and accessories boutique, will be opening a new store at Rockefeller Center this spring. Free People signed a lease for 4,013 s/f on the ground floor of 600 Fifth Ave. (entrance on 49th St.), with an additional 3,024 s/f in the mezzanine. Anthropologie, the brand's sister company, also has a store in Rockefeller Center. Free People was represented in the transaction by Stephen Plourde of the McDevitt Co. Tishman Speyer, the co-owner of Rockefeller Center, is committed to the preservation and restoration of Rockefeller Center and refurbished and reopened the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center after a 20-year closure. Each day an estimated 350,000 people walk through the Rockefeller Plaza complex, which is home to the most famous Christmas tree in the world.

2024 Year in Review: William O’Brien, M.C. O’Brien, Inc.

What noteworthy transactions or deals from this year best exemplified key market trends or shifts? I would like to say there was an outstanding transaction for me this past year but 2024 was more a culmination of long-term relationships, most of which continued to transact. Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
