New York, NY Frank Pepe has been named director of the U.S. geotechnical and tunneling technical excellence center at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

A WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff VP, Pepe has spent the majority of his 32-year career gaining experience across a full spectrum of underground project delivery, including geotechnical investigations, ground improvement, tunnel design, foundation design, underpinning, and complex subsurface work.

He has worked on many of the firm’s signature assignments, across a wide array of structures, tunnels, buildings, bridges, highways, rail structures, water, and power projects throughout the United States and abroad. Some of his noteworthy projects include Second Avenue Subway, 63rd Street Tunnel, George P. Coleman Memorial Bridge, Bayonne Bridge and the Norfolk International Terminal expansion.

Mr. Pepe received M.S. and B.S. degrees in civil engineering from Syracuse University. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York, Minnesota, Michigan, and New Jersey. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers; American Society of Testing and Materials.

For more than a century, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has been a leader in tunneling and underground construction, with projects from San Francisco to Stockholm.
