Richard Foster
CEO
Cedar Communities

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of our incredible team of over 200 that have adapted to an ever-changing healthcare climate with grace, while simultaneously ensuring each of our residents have a loving, nurturing and caring place to call “home” each and every day.

Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices?

I always admire Warren Buffett for his passion for business and acquisitions, his ability to continuously see his vision through, and most of all, his humility and down-to-earth mentality.

What 3 skills do you consider the most important to be successful in your industry?

Proactiveness, active listening, and a desire for excellence.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I very much enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 amazing rescue dogs: Tara and Miracle! I am a big supporter of animal rescue (“adopt, don’t shop”) and always make it a priority to help any injured, vulnerable, or lost animals and wildlife.
