What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

We investigated potential energy conservation measures (ECMs) for three interconnected buildings housing a variety of tenants from a movie studio to a medical facility. These ECMs will reduce carbon emissions by around 40% and save the owner approximately $70,000 annually. The client has since proceeded with implementing our suggestions.

What is one lesson that you had to learn the hard way?

No matter how small problems appear, ignoring them doesn’t make them disappear. Instead, the small problems linger in the background, growing until they eventually cause more issues. Attacking these obstacles at their onset prevents additional complications from forming down the line, saving both the engineer and client time and energy.
