Title: Assistant Project Manager

Company Name: Bohler

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am proud of my team’s accomplishments with Corporate Commons Three, a highly visible, eight-story class A office development. As a previously undeveloped parcel, the project was challenging from a stormwater management perspective. We incorporated a significant amount of green infrastructure and wetlands preservation techniques into our design to offset the impacts of development. Today, you can see the office complex as you cross the Goethals Bridge into Staten Island.

Who was/is your mentor and how did s/he influence/help you in your career?

My father, who has nearly 45 years of experience in the NYC tri-state area, has played a significant role in my career. From the time I was young, he would take me to visit construction projects and show me different aspects of civil engineering including heavy highway civil, bridges, and the private development side of our industry. During college, he encouraged me to pursue as many internships as possible so I could experience the industry’s many sectors.

How do you contribute to your community or your profession?

I approach challenging situations with an open mind, and I enjoy collaborating with my teammates on different engineering methods to identify the best solution. I bring value to each project in my ability to solve problems quickly, while maintaining sight of the big picture. I am extremely detail-oriented, and take pride in providing high quality engineering design.
