Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices?

For over 38 years I have been in the commercial real estate industry and mentored in my childhood since eleven years old. I was raised by a strong force of nature mother, Marie Zere. The kind of woman that just gets things done, a rainmaker, a fighter. A real fire in your belly smarty pants, who investigates, sizes up a situation and does the deal.

Commercial real estate is traditionally a male dominated business. Marie Zere, president & CEO of Zere Real Estate Services is the first woman-owned commercial brokerage in New York State and the first and only one on Long Island in business for over forty-three years. We work on commission. Big money, big rewards, big risks. I learned the business from the ground up.

We traveled the world together on international business. We are hands on and have closed deals ranging in the fifty million plus category to medium and smaller deals in sales and leasing.
