New York Commercial Real Estate (NYCRS) has completed five retail leases totaling 4,550 s/f. The deals include the following:
* 13 Laight St. & 227 Mott St.: NYCRS agent Kathleen Perkins has brokered two leases in SoHo/TriBeCa. Perkins represented the tenant in a 1,200 s/f lease at 13 Laight St. (the TriBeCa Film Building). A Danish Café will be opened in the space by the owners of Aamann, a restaurant and take-out spot in Copenhagen. The owner, Sanne Ytting, has brought back Danish chef Adam Aamann to create traditional Danish dishes. At 227 Mott, first-time owner Stefan Ghica leased 750 s/f. He will transform the former Indian Resturant into YN Bar NYC, a wine and Tapas Bar.
* 504 East 12th St.: NYCRS president Ken Brandman completed a 400 s/f lease in the East Village. Brandman represented the landlord and Dean Valentino of ABS Partners represented the tenant. Chef Matt Amsden and Rawvolution are known for being one of "LA's hippest café and retail store providing all you need to begin and thrive on raw, living foods."
* 424 East 9th St: NYCRS agents James Famularo and Brandman completed a 1,200 s/f lease with the owner of Stuzzicheria, an Italian Eatery in TriBeCa. Owner Gerard Renny and executive chef Paul Di Bari also run Pane Panelle in TriBeCa. Famularo represented the tenant while Brandman represented the landlord, Croman Real Estate.
* 229 First Ave.: Brandman and Famularo have worked again with restaurateur Michael Bao once again to open a new baguette gourmet sandwich shop on First Ave. The 1,000 s/f East Village space will be the 4th location for Bao's Baoguette locations.
