New York Regional Realtor associations to host global real estate summit Oct. 20 in NYC

New York, NY Regional Realtor associations are joining forces to present the Global Real Estate Summit NYC on Thursday, Oct. 20, bringing together top minds in the industry to discuss emerging trends and share best practices for leveraging opportunities in the global marketplace.

The summit, now in its 16th year, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway, New York City and also will be presented virtually. This year’s theme is “Be Globally Minded in the Digital Age” and will feature discussions on building strategic partnerships worldwide; emerging trends in architecture; the role of state economic development leaders in attracting foreign investment to our regions; global/commercial real estate industry insights; and new digital technologies including blockchain, cryptocurrency and the metaverse.

Keynote speaker Greg Lindsay, an urbanist and futurist, will present “The Big Rethink: Cities After Covid-19,” an exploration of the post-pandemic landscape. Other speakers include Tony D’Anzica, broker-owner, Dynamax Realty NYC; Bridget Gibbons, director of economic development, Westchester County, N.Y.; Marsha Gordon, president and CEO, The Business Council of Westchester; Christina Pro Stano, Licensed Real Estate associate broker, Compass, NYC; and Alejandro Escudero Rodriguez, director, Global Strategy, National Association of Realtors.

“We’re thrilled to join our colleagues to share insight on industry trends and explore opportunities to collaborate and succeed in the global marketplace,” said Richard Haggerty, CEO of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors and president and Chief Strategic Growth Officer of OneKey MLS. “So much has happened in the past year, and our Global Summit will provide the strategic insight needed to navigate a changing landscape moving forward.”

The event is being hosted by nine regional Realtor associations, including the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors, Greater Bergen Realtors, North Central Jersey Association of Realtors®, Brooklyn Board of Realtors and MLS (BNYMLS),  Staten Island Board of Realtors, Connecticut Realtors, and Greenwich Association of Realtors.
