Manhattan, NY Ted Moudis Associates (TMA), a workplace architecture and interior design firm, has welcomed Arjav Shah as senior studio design principal. Bringing more than 18 years of design and leadership experience, Arjav will help advance TMA’s creative practice and bring new perspectives to the firm’s work as organizations continue to rethink the role and potential of the workplace.
Throughout his nearly two-decade career, Arjav has led transformative, human-centered, multidisciplinary teams and partnered with global clients across workplace, higher education, institutional, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. That experience informs a design approach grounded in collaboration and technical rigor, while his creative vision and ability to anticipate what’s next allow him to translate complex business objectives into forward-looking design solutions that strengthen culture, inspire innovation, and support organizational performance.
“Ted Moudis Associates has established itself as a true leader in workplace design, and I’m incredibly excited to join a firm with such a strong commitment to design excellence and the human experience,” said Arjav.
“There’s a tremendous opportunity to build on TMA’s strong foundation, bring new ideas and perspectives to the work, and continue exploring how design can respond to the changing needs of organizations and their people. I’m looking forward to collaborating with this talented team and helping shape what comes next for TMA and the environments we create.”
“Arjav brings the kind of design leadership and perspective that will immediately strengthen our practice,” said Ted Moudis, AIA, senior principal and founder of Ted Moudis Associates. “He understands that the most successful environments are not only well designed, but deeply connected to how an organization operates, how its people work, and where the business is headed. That combination of design excellence and strategic thinking makes him a natural fit for TMA, and we’re excited to welcome him to the firm.”
Arjav’s design philosophy is rooted in the belief that exceptional environments begin with a compelling narrative and an honest expression of materials. His work brings together architecture, proportion, light, color, and materiality, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and regenerative design, including material health, biophilic design, and low-carbon strategies.
Arjav’s appointment reflects TMA’s continued investment in the future of its design practice, bringing new perspectives and creative leadership to the firm as it explores what the next generation of workplace environments can and should be.
“Arjav brings a strong design perspective and a collaborative approach to leadership that will be an important addition to our studio,” said Christopher Savoglou, senior principal. “He has a natural ability to bring people together, challenge conventional thinking, and encourage teams to approach complex design problems with curiosity and creativity. We’re excited to have his voice and perspective at TMA and to see how his leadership helps strengthen our design culture and the work we deliver for our clients.”
